And Now For Something Completely Different
May 2020.
Most people are not going to travel any time soon; because of covid-19, lack of funds, disease, distress, etc.
So I thought that it would cheer everyone up if we just picture where we would like to be, if there was no restrictions whatsoever. No bounderies: this planet, another solar system, another galaxy...
I've used the public image gallery (random pics of interest) to post images of 2 places that would appeal to me, and they would have to be near water, the sea preferably. The images are off magazines from the 1990s.

Re: And Now For Something Completely Different
Sorry, I’ve been a bit slack. I need to build those two missing icons.
Re: And Now For Something Completely Different
That's all right, I found them. Because I remembered that you posted an image, and told us to post our products/images to make to forum more appealing, add some visuals. So I went hunting.

I Must get to it and fix it. I’ve been putting it off because just for a few little buttons it’s a long and drawn out process, and honestly, we’ve had bigger fish to fry - much more important for members.
I can’t find the pics I want to put up, not yet anyway, but if any of you get the chance Google up a little township on the mid north coast of New South Wales called Nambucca heads. It’s the sweetest little place that we’ve been returning to since I was about 9 years old. It’s a lovely coastal town not so overdone with commercialism yet like say a close neighbour, Port Macquarie.
Another place I long to return to is Wannika on the western seaboard of the South Island of New Zealand. It’s so beautiful it’ll bring tears to your eyes. I’m trying to find pics.
Good topic Sophia :-)

Melina, I've checked them; it is indeed very beautiful, relaxing. Although Wannika (New Zealand) looks much wilder. It's probably all that power (we can see it in the landscape and the water) presented in such a beautiful "packaging" that brings tears to one's eyes.
Yes, nice places to visit.

Here's something to rinse your weary eyes. The 2020 photography awards from the Audubon Society.

I'm sad for you guys on your forum. No better tribute could be found for your co mod; the astounding beauty & perfection in nature that some people catch, and share.

sophia, thanks. we did a tribute thread after he passed and his son made an account to come share some things with us about his father as well. i named an adorable vintage madame alexander kin dutch boy for him because that was the closest to a south african doll there is, and he spoke dutch as one of his several languages and was sort of blond. he is very much missed. but he believed all of nature is alive and that we should live our lives as best as we can.
