ABOUT VIPERS
Vipers Sellers Collective or simply ‘Vipers’ or ‘VSC’ for short, is as the name suggests a ‘collective’ of highly experienced and creative artists and sellers of quality handmade pieces along with curators of antique, vintage, and collectible rarities. It was born of the need for a superior way of doing business and one in which business ethos was of a high and unquestionable standard. The premise was simple; develop a safe environment in which sellers could freely exchange ideas and strategies to move their businesses forward and diversify their positions in the marketplace, but more so collectively than individually.
Since inception the concept has developed momentum and has grown from a very basic first forum where ideas were simply discussed to a new place and environment now where collaboration is encouraged, has become integral, and flourishes. This equates to success and with success comes certain challenges. We outgrew the initial Vipers forum and so needed to expand into a new forum where we could advance our objectives and stretch our figurative legs a bit. So welcome to the new and much improved Vipers forum.
The idea to create some sort of online seller’s directory, or collective, was established very early on. We were looking for a way to band together and to point potential buyers from one shop to another within the group. It was to be a hub, of sorts… a means through which buyers could find us wherever we were selling, be it on our independent websites, Pattern sites, Etsy shops, or through whatever other platforms each of us had chosen.
Enter Creative Collectives Online (CCO). It was offering an exciting business opportunity and enduring collaboration involving exactly what we had been seeking. It was also ready to go. CCO had developed a beautiful portal site through which we could gain visibility in the marketplace and, as an SEO expert CCO had the means to drive traffic to whatever platform we chose, which by the way, needn’t be limited to just one. The caveat, however, is that shops within the directory must meet CCO standards of handmade and vintage.
The rewarding collaboration between Vipers and CCO is ongoing and continues to develop as more members join the Vipers ranks. So welcome to Vipers where the ties that bind us are the very things that will inspire us and help propel us to further success.
